•    Packaging a gift enhances its appearance significantly. Yes, your special gift is better than “good”. Why not make it the best with good packaging?

•    Packaging keeps the gift safe, and prevents it from breakage and damage.

•    Packaging makes it easier to carry the gift.

So, package the gift and give it the much-needed edge.

Alcohol and Glass

From times immemorial, alcohol has been associated with glass. Special glasses for special alcohol, wherein wine glasses differ from beer mugs and whiskey glasses; not to forget the tiny shot glasses. Alcohol glasses, especially wine glasses make great gifts for family and friends. However, their fragility and elegance make them prone to quick damage and breakage. So, wine glass packaging holds excessive importance in ways, different from beautifying the gift and enhancing its appearance.

However, the enhancement in the beauty and elegance of this elegant, fragile and beautiful glassware is undeniable.

Storing Wine- Horizontal, Vertical or Diagonal ?

The popular school of through suggests that it is good for wine if the bottle is stored horizontally. The cork remains damp this way, thus, restricting the air from entering through the cork and changing the flavor of wine. However, the distance between the cork and the air bubble causes expansion and contraction of the air bubble. When temperatures rise, the bubble expands; resulting in the wine being forced out between the cork and the bottle-neck. Have you observed the sugary deposits at the neck of the bottle? These are a result of such expansion; thus, affecting the taste of wine. Similarly, when temperatures drop, the bubble contracts, thus, create vacuum in the bottle. It then draws oxygen into the bottle. High levels of oxygen affect the taste of wine adversely.

Therefore, where temperature fluctuations are significant, it is best to keep the bottle of wine at a tilted angle in a way that the wine and air bubble both are in contact with the cork. Not only will the cork be damp, but any temperature variation will cause a change in air and not the wine.

Heating speeds up the ageing process of wine. However, wine tastes best when aged slowly. So, temperature fluctuations are certainly a big “No”.

So, to keep your wine best in a wine box, store it at an angle, so as to keep the cork damp and air bubble in contact with the cork.

Gift it Right!

A wine glass box can make an incredibly classy gift for various occasions. It can be the best gift for a dear friend’s wedding, you sister’s wedding anniversary or a dear uncle’s birthday. Moreover, it would make a still better gift when coupled with a bottle of the right wine. However, what is the right wine? Is there a thumb rule for the best wine for an occasion? Is white for an aged person and red for a young woman?

This is the Right Choice!

Wines are all about aroma and taste. While some may like white, others may like red. It is a personal preference of the wine drinker. Although wine makes a great gift, the tricky part is to determine the taste of the receiver.

Here are a few tips to choose wine, which can be enjoyed and appreciated by the receiver.

·         If you are unaware of the receiver’s taste and preference, a bottle of white wine is ideal. As white wines are sweeter and lighter, they are mostly enjoyed by even those who are not regular drinkers.
·         For those who drink more often and have a sharp taste and flavor for wine, red wines are a better alternative.
·         If you intend to gift a new kind of wine to the receiver, for a unique and different experience, you can choose a vintage wine too; provided your budget allows so.
So, make the gift and gifting experience memorable for your dear ones with wine and a wine glass box.

With or Without a Stem

Wine glasses are available in a vast variety. However, you can broadly classify them into stem less wine glasses and stemmed wine glasses. While we are used to serving and drinking wine in the sleek, elegant stemmed glasses, the stem less glasses are also gaining significant popularity.

The first of its kind was designed by the famous glass maker Riedel in 2004. It’s not like drinking wine in tumblers was uncommon. However, the birth of the sleeker and elegant counterpart of the tumblers was marked by Riedel.  Since then, the stem less wine glass box has made its place on bar tables, dinner tables and more.
Wine lovers often argue about the disadvantages of the stem less glass. The taste of wine is mostly affected by the shape of the glass and temperature. When you hold the stem less glass, the body heat heats the wine; thus, affecting the flavor. Moreover, unlike stemmed glasses, the food prints on your fingers fail to go unnoticed on stem less glasses. What’s more, their bulkier versions are difficult to hold. Therefore, wine served in stem less wine glasses is a bad idea while standing and eating.
However, stem less glasses have their advantages too. The risk of toppling down over the table top is bare minimum. Furthermore, they can be easily stacked into the dish washer after a group of guests leave your place.
If you want some of these stem less wine glasses to add glory to your bar, purchase them at www.winebox.net.au.

Presenting it Right!

Wine is one among the exotic range of alcohol. To keep its beauty and elegance intact, it is essential to gift a bottle of wine right. So, if you too intend to gift your dear friend or family member a bottle of wine, knowing the right etiquette will add value to your gift.

·         Avoid buying wine for the sake of buying a gift on your way to a party. Buy wine only when you know that your host is a wine drinker. Also, know your host before buying. Does she prefer sweet wines or is she a beer person? Buy according to the host’s preferences.

Champagnes are mostly welcome by all. So, if you do not know the host’s taste, a champagne bottle can make the perfect gift.

·         The price of wine does not necessarily speak of the quality. Just focus on the quality of wine you intend to gift.

·         Do not expect your host to open the bottle of wine at the party itself. Certain wines go well with a certain cuisine. He would have planned the wines accordingly.

·         Remember to add a card on the gift. A small messages like, “I know you love Pinot Noir. I hope you enjoy it” is perfect.

After choosing the wine, package it well. A great idea for packaging is a wine box. You could also add wine glasses with the bottle in a box. A mesmerizing variety of wine glasses and wine box are available at www.winebox.net.au. Choose and appropriate one and see the receiver will be spell bound by your well-thought of gift.
